Since early 2025, Ben Landau Racing has been working towards creating its own foundation that turns the name into something much greater. The Subaru project has involved blood, sweat and tears to make a car that is not just the face of the brand, but the very thing that will bring together a racing team. The idea is now being brought into reality along with Ben Landau Racing's long-term partner, Chatime. The team acts as a way to keep Ben Landau Racing consistent with its own championships and campaigns outside of other racing teams. This guarantee's track time and a direct way to represent the partners that are working hard to make this car come to life. The delay for its for final launch is due to our fantastic changes within South Australian grassroots Motorsport. With the help of The Bend TV, local categories are being broadcasted on Kayo together as one championship known as the Summit Championship Series. One of these categories is IPRA (Improved Production Racing Australia), which have also had regulation changes to make cars with different engines and different power to weight ratios closer and even in competition. This attracted our team greatly as it makes competition cost effective but also (more importantly) entertaining. Our project will continue with many years to come even with other Ben Landau Racing campaigns, which allows our partners to be shown in multiple different disciplines in racing, as well as be used as a launch pad into other professional sports car racing categories. Outside of racing in IPRA, this Subaru Legacy will also take part in other showcase events such as the Adelaide Motorsport Festival and other hill-climb events to push greater exposure and brand awareness. This project, to put it simply, is one that has a great future and brings opportunity into Ben Landau Racing.

WHAT IS IPRA?

IPRA (Improved Production Racing Australia) is a multi-class category that showcases the most diverse field of race cars in Motorsport. In South Australia, the series attends almost every single Summit Championship series event and can feature between 4 - 10 races a year. Its diverse range of cars does not mean that series has 'better' cars that simply outrun the others. The series is designed in such a way that you can enter any car into competition, and it will still be competitive within its class. Even with the three separate classes (which include 3.5L+, 2.0L - 2.5L, and 1.8L - 2.0L), club president Jasen Palmer believes "every car is pretty much together on track, like the front runners will set a time and the guys at the back are only less then 20 seconds behind", which he mentioned when Landau had expressed his interest in entering the series. The category is highly regarded for its racing and creativity within the competitors around the cars they build to race. The series also sees an even greater number of competitors race with each event. This makes the series valuable and therefore, it can be found on Kayo where every IPRA race is livestreamed. Giving easy accessibility for viewers to watch each round. It's a great way to start your sports car racing journey as beginner, which made it the perfect choice for Ben Landau Racing. You can find out more about IPRA through visiting the offical website.
